A few weekends ago Phill and I decided to grab some of our favorite people and go on a spontaneous trip up to Caesar's Head one evening to watch the sunset. We grabbed FireHouse Subs on the way and a had a great time in the woods and sitting on rocks. Here are few of my favorites. As you can see the leaves were just beginning to change in the mountains!

Heidi and Paul's Wedding
When it comes to posting pictures from weddings, it is so hard to choose because I want to put ALL of them on my blog. However, I know that it is not feasible, so here are just a few of my favorites from Paul and Heidi's wedding recently. Paul and Heidi actually live in Tennessee but decided to get married here in downtown Greenville. When they were dating they spent much time wandering the streets of downtown so as they said, it just made sense. They were married at Larkins by the River, one of my favorite venues. I had some of my bridal portraits taken in this antique, open, brick building.
The Dress: Heidi just could not find "the dress" at local stores anywhere. So, Paul's aunt made it for her! This dress was stunning and elegant. I loved all the lace detail.
Heidi got ready at the Hampton Inn across the street from Larkins. Here she is looking out as they set up.
Her mother helped her get ready.
Heidi had a balcony that looked out over the river facing Larkins. Great view!
Her bouquet was created by Twigs. They went to Hawaii for their honeymoon. Surprisingly, there were the same flowers waiting for them in their room!
This shot was right after the wedding; I always love to see what they do once they sneak away from the crowd.
Why the face from Heidi? She actually hates cucumbers!
This cake tasted AMAZING! It was baked and decorated by another great downtown restaurant,
Brick Street Cafe
This was Heidi's one requested formal shot: everyone who attended the wedding. I love that we have both buildings in the background as well as the river.
After they were able to enjoy the delicious food by Larkins, we slept a way for a bit for some pictures of just the two of them.
I had a great time with Heidi and Paul! You can view all of their wedding pictures by going to my website: www.seekjoyphotography.com and click on the "client" tab

Sexton Family
This past Saturday was absolutely beautiful weather. I think the rest of Greenville agreed and were also at Falls Park that afternoon. Luckily I knew a few spots that were less populated for Lauren and her family's photo shoot. Lauren told me she can only remember one other time her family has taken pictures together!
I loved the color scheme that her mother put together. This is something I recommend when people ask what they should wear. You do not have to all wear the same outfit but a
color scheme makes for great shots.
These two have been married for "almost 40 years" Its always encouraging to see marriages
that last a long time.
Lauren is a teacher and recently engaged. Her sister is a student in college.
Love their blonde hair in the sunlight here!
Her dad was more interested in the Clemson game than pictures this afternoon; he was a trooper though!

Heidi and Paul Sneak Peak
This past Friday I had the honor of joining Heidi and Paul at their wedding at Larkins by the River. The ceremony was held in the beautiful pavilion with exposed brick and open air features. The food was wonderful, but I would expect nothing less from Larkins as this is where Corley (Phill's employment) has their Christmas Party and I have had the pleasure of dining with Larkins before. I always love meeting new people and was delighted when one of their wedding guests sent me an email entitled More Seek Joy thoughts. In her email she shared with me about one of her beloved children book author's Tasha Tudor. In her email she wrote: "One of Tasha's guiding thoughts in life was originally penned by Fra Giovanni in 1531 in "Letter to a Friend": "The gloom of the world is but a shadow. Behind it, yet within our reach, is joy. Take joy!"
With this thought in mind I give you a sneak peak from their wedding:
